#StreetLights

Over the last year and some change, Gucci Mane has been taking a step back from being an artist, to become an executive. With fatherhood and marriage in-tact, the iconic Georgia rapper is using his resources to help the next-generation of talent through his own imprint. Here, The New 1017 presents Roboy, in the new music video for “Street Lights” below.

Radric Delantic Davis, known professionally as Gucci Mane, is an American rapper. He helped pioneer the hip hop subgenre of trap music alongside fellow Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy, particularly in the 2000s and 2010s. Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is a trap pioneer who kicked off his storied career with a prolific run of albums and mixtapes before a prison sentence proved a crucial turning point in his narrative. While incarcerated, he continued to feed fans, issuing over two dozen mixtapes; he emerged a respected genre icon and steered his life in a more positive direction. Continuing his busy recording schedule, he released over a dozen sets in just a few years, including post-prison career highlights Everybody Looking (2016), Mr. Davis (2017), and Woptober II (2019), which were all Top Ten hits on the album charts.
