RIP Future & Rocko’s A1 Records?
It looks like Future’s epic run of 2015 may soon have a serious business asterisk by it. According to TMZ, Hendrix is reportedly being sued by the head of his former label, A1 Recordings, for an alleged breach of contract. Fellow Atlanta rapper, Rocko da Don, claims he discovered the Freebandz representative; however, after their last five year’s of success, Future allegedly agreed to an updated deal with the Sony subsidiary. Rocko says he violated their original 2011 deal to fulfill six albums with A1 – which a side deal directly with Epic Records left him out of millions.
In the suit, da Don claims he was left out of the 25% commission, he was reportedly due from the deal; as well as 20% of earnings from touring and endorsements among other things.
We’ll keep you updated on the fallout between both rappers, regarding the $10 million lawsuit.
