New Orleans is about to be lit when the 66th NBA All-Star Game invades the city on Sunday, February 19 and they just announced more performances to the lineup. With John Legend already taking over the halftime show, now it has been revealed that The Roots will open up the ceremonies with a special performance at the Smoothie King Center.

The band has taken a timeout from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to hit the stage before the EAST and WEST meet on the floor and will have a performance about the history of basketball.

We all know how talented the band is, so we’re looking forward to see what they come with for this.
