Rudimental and rap don’t really go hand and hand, mostly because the UK band is more used to being in electronic dance circles with global hits. Their single with Ed Sheeran, “Lay It All On Me” is actually starting to bubble on the charts (it’s No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100, currently) and a remix with Big Sean and Roc Nation’s newest signee Vic Mensa should help it out some. The beat changed a bit from the original to fit the rappers, which the group says they were happy to collaborate with. Vic is actually one of their favorite up and comers.
If you’re not up on Rudimental, they released their We The Generation album earlier this year, with features from Anne-Marie, MNEK, Lianne La Havas and Bobby Womack.
