With the new Wu-Tang album The Saga Continues dropping soon, RZA recently stopped by Power 106 Los Angeles to talk all things going on in his life. Late in the interview (26-minute mark), he talks about his recent run-in with Kanye West.
“We actually had a great conversation recently, not even 10 days ago,” he says about the last time he saw Yeezy. “He’s in a great place y’all. I didn’t hear no new music – what I did see was he had two ASRs in the studio, not one. The ASR is like an official ’90s hip-hop producing machine. It has a certain sound, certain sonic, and he had two of them set up in the studio, so he’s about to get busy.”
RZA has of course collaborated with Kanye on songs like “So Appalled” and “New Day” in the past.
