2017 is the most we’ve ever seen of Sampha, surrounding the release of his debut album Process. We’ve already seen him cover Roy Davis Jr. this year, but this week he paid a visit to BBC Radio 1 to cover “Controlla,” the hit single from frequent collaborator, Drake, in the live lounge. While the original is upbeat, Sampha brought it down to his intimate level sitting at the piano with a bunch of violinists.
Sampha and Drake have previously worked together on “Too Much” and “4422.”
