We haven’t heard much from Sampha since he dropped The Dual EP, except for his infectious and emotional chorus on Drake’s “Too Much.” The song airing out family dilemmas and bringing us into Drake’s world is undoubtedly one of the standouts from Nothing Was The Same, but what would a solo version with just Sampha sound like?
Thanks to a digital/vinyl release of “Too Much / Happens” via Young Turks, Sampha has answered that question for fans looking for more new music. No drums, snares, or basslines. It’s just the piano and his voice carrying the track for three minutes.
