“I’m really excited about doing a second season of Ultimate Freestyle Friday with ‘106 & PARK’,” said SMACK, founder of Ultimate Freestyle Friday. “Making the transition from DVDs to online and now to network television speaks volumes on the evolution on rap culture. I’ve been documenting hip-hop culture for years and the SMACK / Ultimate Rap League brand is the leading force responsible for bringing MC Battle culture to masses.”
Over the course of the 7-week period, eight emcees will compete for the coveted season two Ultimate Freestyle Friday Champion title. The season culminates with season one champion Ill Will going head-to-head with this season’s winner in the infamous 106 Backroom for the $5,000 grand prize.
