Following the 20th anniversary of his debut album Doggystyle, Uncle Snoop took a few moments to talk about the West Coast comparisons between Top Dawg Entertainment and Death Row Records. He opened up saying they’re not Death Row on the strength of taking a smarter approach to the game being peaceful representing hip-hop in comparison to negativity and violence. Snoop said Kendrick Lamar had obvious Death Row influences to challenge emcees with the controversial “Control” verse; which he fully supported. Before things closed out, he credited TDE for learning from Tha Row’s mistakes so they could be around for more than 20 years in the future. Watch the full video after the jump.
