Soundcloud Launches Paid Service: Soundcloud Go

Earlier this month, Soundcloud reached a licensing deal with Sony Records, which seems to be the last piece the streaming service needed to launch their paid subscription.

That day came sooner than expected, as Soundcloud officially launched Soundcloud Go today, the $9.99 per month service that offers catalog from major labels like Universal Music Group, Warner Bros., and Sony. The service promises to have “even more tracks from emerging and established creators” (mainstream and underground artists, plus podcasts) all ad-free and with the ability to stream offline.

The catch? If you sign up through iOS, you will have to pay $12.99 a month, but users who are already paying for Pro Unlimited will get a discounted price of $4.99.

Will you be dishing out the cash to pay for the service every month?
