The Internet singer and guitarist Steve Lacy has announced that his debut solo album will be released on May 24th. There’s no title or any other details yet, but it will include the recent single “N Side.”
“My little sister moved to college and I had her room to just do whatever with, so I put a studio up in there, and I just, you know, made music,” he told i-D about the album earlier this week. “I had a break from touring for like a month and a half, and I was literally just recording.”
The band announced solo projects from two members in February; Lacy’s follows Matt Martian’s The Last Party. Lacy has also collaborated with Vampire Weekend on two songs from their Father of the Bride album, which is out today.
