Kendrick Lamar & Jay Rock‘s “Pay For It” record might have been used for a commercial, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t come from a humble place or hasn’t ignited some sort of inspiration ever since. In an exclusive look into the minds of the two Top Dawg Entertainment artists, Dot and Rock both talk about what it’s like coming from their respective neighborhoods of Compton and Watts and how they channeled some of the negativity that growing up there brings into a positive situation.
