Los Angeles-based, San Diego-raised rapper Ta’East has been around for a few years at this point, but you get the sense he’s only just getting started. Much like the excellent “WithTheShit” from last year, his latest song “Light the Way” is another dark track that feels mighty relevant in the days following Halloween. On the hook, he references 2pac and Biggie.
Ta’East may be commanding with the raps, but it’s Cairo Mayeson’s both eerie and thumping production that lays the foundation. His new EP titled Ok I’m Ready is coming soon.
