Taxstone Refused to Snitch in Federal Plea Agreement

An update on the case. .

With Daryl ‘Taxstone’ Campbell copping out to federal charges two years ago, he’s still waiting for official sentencing for a crime he’s facing up to 20 years in jail. Dating back to June 2017, he avoided a lengthier sentence, with his guilty plea of two federal weapons charges in connection with his possession of a semiautomatic handgun.

Now, this spring, new information has emerged, regarding his state charges, that is currently happening in courts. The plea agreement counts were for possession of a firearm as a felon and receipt of a firearm in interstate commerce. Thanks to the Southern District of New York providing official federal dockets, information from his testimony has emerged.

During his initial federal plea agreement, the FEDs were wanting Taxstone to reveal where and from he received the firearm from. Without implicant others, Tax refused to comply with what the FEDs wanted him to do, which should be a message for those out there scared in courts, when facing serious time.

This doesn’t excuse the situation of Mr. McPhatter’s life being taken away, but given the seriousness of the actions – Tax isn’t bringing anyone else into his situation.

This is from the federal guns case, which was brought back to light – ahead of his pending state case. By already serving 4 years, he’s almost halfway done with the federal charges, that he was sentenced to 10 for. It’s unclear if his state charges will be concurrent with his previous sentencing. Look for more to emerge after this virus shit slows down.

Disclaimer: This information is from a few months back, in case you see it floating around later today. You can purchase the official transcripts here via federal docket numbers HERE.

Taxstone refusing to snitch in court.

The Court: May I ask where you received the firearm from?

Taxstone: I’m not sure.

The Court: So, how do you know it was from outside of New York?

Taxstone: I know because the federal government said it was not from New York State.

The Court: Okay.

FEDS: So, your honor, the government’s understanding is that the firearm was brought to Mr. Campbell originally from Florida, not where it was manufactured, but by a person known to Mr. Campbell. I don’t think Mr. Campbell has to admit that he knows the person or anything like that if he doesn’t want to implicate other. I do think he has to acknowledge that he knew the firearm came to him from the state. I don’t think that’s something we can proffer.

The Court: Okay.

The Court: Do you know that somebody brought the firearm from Florida to you?

Taxstone: No. I know what it was brought from another state.

The Court: Okay.

Taxstone: I received it.

The Court: Is that sufficient for you, FEDS?

FEDS: Yes, your honor.
