That Time Big Meech Stunted on JAY Z in Brooklyn

In 2005, when JAY Z assumed his Presidential role at Def Jam Records, one of his biggest priorities was to help push the career of Young Jeezy. With Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 buzzing in the streets as the hottest thing since Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Hov had his protégés come to his borough of Brooklyn and shoot a music visual for the project’s single “Soul Survivor.”

Video director Benny Boom recently sat-down with Complex TV to discuss the filming process, which starred Beanie Sigel, Cam’ron, Fabolous, DJ Clue, and Big Meech. However, behind-the-scenes away from the set, the BMF head honcho became one of the people in the music world to stunt on Jigga. At one point during the shoot in Williamsburg, Jay showed up to the set in a Sky Blue Maybach, but Big Meech drove up in two all-black Maybach’s to assert his presence.

Non-coincidentally, the Detroit entrepreneur made sure it was JAY Z to speak to him about moving his Maybach cars. Watch the brief interview above in Jewels from Benny Boom.
