The Best Of… Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Earlier this week, we came across one of Mariah Carey’s most slept on tracks (her single “Breakdown” with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony) and we couldn’t help but to reminisce on their music. The Cleveland crew didn’t collaborate with many artists during their golden years, and it was rather surprising to see Mariah reach out to them back in 1998. Bone really didn’t start collaborating with more artists until past the year 2000, and they’re the only artists to do songs with the late 2pac, The Notorious B.I.G. and Eazy E.

We grew up on Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, so they will always be dear to our hearts, but sometimes we get the feeling they don’t get the respect they deserve. They have plenty of classics in their catalog, and that’s why we decided to revisit some of our favorite tracks from classic albums like Creepin On Ah Come Up and E. 1999. Oh, we threw in some miscellaneous soundtrack appearances and a few of their more notable guest features.

Who is your favorite member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony?

Don’t front like Bone didn’t pave the way for Cleveland artists like KiD CuDi, King Chip and Machine Gun Kelly. You can hear their influence in their music to this day.

Salute to the Cleveland crew!
