You know what’s been consuming my free time lately? FIFA 15. I finally copped a few days after it was released on Playstation 4 and I’ve been obsessed with playing online against other stans. Too bad I’m Division 10 in online seasons getting obliterated by people better than me every game, because if it was the other way around, I’d be even more hooked.
Besides losing, the other thing I can’t escape while playing the game (you know, unless you completely shut off music) is this year’s soundtrack. I was happy to see the fact Jungle, Jacob Banks, and Tensnake all made the cut but wasn’t familiar with every artist on there.
Yeah, there are still some songs I wasn’t rocking with, but overall, FIFA does a great job of rounding up music from the entire globe, as well as new indie artists not on everyone’s radar in the U.S. It’s actually something I’ve come to appreciate and look forward to. Being put on to some new acts that I can follow through even away from the game.
This year, I wanted to highlight some of those artists and shed light to our readers about them, in case they needed some different shit to listen to. You can discover more yourself if you cop the game, but if you’re not into soccer much and just want to the music, I got you.
