No Limit Snoop
Years: 1998-2000
Notable songs: “Bitch Please,” “Lay Low,” “Down 4 My N’s”
After riffs with Suge Knight and Death Row Records, Snoop decided to take his talents elsewhere, ultimately getting recruited by Master P and signing to No Limit Records. At the time, the move was very unorthodox and it left many stunned, but the Doggfather tried to make the most of it. His first album with the label Da Game Is To Be Sold Not Told, even had the classic Down South covers we all saw in the No Limit and Cash Money era and help with production from Beats by the Pound.
After mixed reviews, Snoop took it back to that West Coast G-Funk to finish off his No Limit, even reuniting with Dr. Dre on No Limit Top Dogg. Most of his hits at the time came equipped with labelmaters Master P, C-Murder and company.
