It’s funny that The New Royales would collaborate with Jay Electronica because they both sit in the same boat. We’ve been longing for music from the two, with no sign of anything in the horizon. They both music randomly and remind us of how talented they are. At the least, a project from Liz Rodrigues and DJ Khalil would satisfy the thirst.
“Minutes of Moog” is everything that works about both side, with Jay Elec getting three verses to spit that shit, and Liz’s soft vocals to carry the hook. Who knows when we’ll see anything from the two (separately) again, so enjoy it for what it is.
