In light of the variety of alternative sounds that have found their way to OnSMASH over the past few months, we’ve put together a new monthly series titled The Rec, focusing on the major highlights involving the surrounding genres each month. If you’re wondering how the name first came into fruition, you’d have to travel all the way over to a small town in England to find the answer. However, the word “recreation” is also a synonym for amusement, relaxation and entertainment, which is exactly what we rock with.
Without hyping it too much, we suggest you press play and enjoy something different from artists that you may not have heard before. You will not be disappointed.
