For those wanting to know a little bit more background information on Evidence‘s new instrumental project Green Tape, Mass Appeal went all the way to Venice Beach, CA to catch up with him and get the 411 on his latest effort. Ev reveals that most of these tracks came from trial and error, plus years of sitting on them. Some were picked out by other artists and never used, while some were never picked to begin with.
Also, interestingly enough, he joked around about how the squirrels in his backyard can tell how hot a beat is by the drums on it. Squirrel A&R’s out in the Venice streets!
