If you have HBO, we hope you got up on VICE’s TV show this season. They traveled to many countries for mini-docs and got in the midst of some very interesting stories, uncovering things about our world that are not quite seen on the real news.
Nothing topped their season finale, though. For this episode, VICE took the Harlem Globetrotters and Dennis Rodman to North Korea (they bamboozled the government because the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, is a ’90s Chicago Bulls stan) to try to find out more about their government under the new regime. After successfully setting up the visit through a foreign exchange program, the VICE crew traveled to The Hermit Kingdom and even got the chance to meet (and eat dinner) with Kim Jong Un.
This episode was so wild, we had to bring it to you in case you missed it when it aired on TV. Shit like this doesn’t happen every day and is the true definition of “rare.”
