After a slight hiatus, the OnSMASH team is excited to provide you with a brand new playlist to help soundtrack all of your weekend’s festivities. We’re just shy of three months into the year and we’ve already received some extremely dope singles, as well as a small armory of fresh projects.
With plenty of material to choose from, we relight the flame with the help Los Angeles’ upstart MC Cozz, and fellow newcomer Mapei, who is joined by Chance The Rapper. The Detroit player Big Sean also makes a couple impressive showings with two of the hardest hitting verses we’ve heard all year. Lil Wayne, YG, Freddie Gibbs, Ty Dolla $ign, ScHoolboy Q, Kevin Gates, and Nipsey Hussle all appear with work from their recently released projects, while we find Lupe Fiasco rapping over an Outkast sample. This wouldn’t be the proper playlist without new Young Thug music either, so we’ve also included his latest with Future and Juicy J.
