The Weeknd Falls 3,000 Copies Short Of Having Top Spot On Billboard 200

Now this is something you don’t normally see, but today there was a little bit of confusion with which album took the number one spot on the Billboard charts. At one point it was thought that The Weeknd‘s new album KissLand took the spot (he even tweeted about it), but now it seems like he was edged out by country singer Keith Urban. To top it all off, the difference was only about 3k copies. So close but yet so far for Abel, who still had a very impressive debut, coming in at #2.

Other notable positions on the chart this week came from 2 Chainz‘ sophomore album B.O.A.T.S II:ME TIME taking the 3rd spot with 63k sold and Janelle Monae, who secured her first Top 10 album ever with The Electric Lady placing at #5.

Don’t worry though Canada, all is not lost. Drake is ready to take that #1 spot when Nothing Was The Same drops next week.
