With his official sophomore album Beauty Behind the Madness due out in just two weeks, Canadian recording artist The Weekend, is celebrating highest accolade thus far in his career. The X.O. and OVO-affiliated crooner has officially earned his first ever no. 1 single on Billboard’s Hot 100, for his popular summer single “Can’t Feel My Face.” After four weeks atop the charts, Abel dethroned OMI’s “Cheerleader” and beat out One Direction’s latest offering “Drag Me Down,” which was the year’s highest debut of the year. While his B.B.T.M. LP is due out August 28th, the project has features from the likes of only Lana Del Rey, Labrinth and Ed Sheeran.
