Jadakiss on “Don’t Play Yourself”
Features: Jadakiss, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes & Kent Jones
Prod: Qolorsound & DJ Khaled
At this point, it’s safe to say Jadakiss doesn’t make bad verses. Track 11 is basically a New York posse cut featuring a ton of New York vets such as Fab, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss and newcomer Kent Jones who hails from Miami. With all those vets on one song the obvious question is who came out on top? While everybody had great verses, Jada’s rhymes stuck out like a sore thumb.
He has the opening verse on the track, and by the end of the song you’re still stuck on the line about the almanac. In the 16 he finds a number of witty ways to say he’s great at selling coke, throws in a major key alert line and raps about being stuck in drug traffic. It doesn’t matter how old Jada gets, his verses just get better with time.
