Chaz Bundick is always working, whether it’s putting out electronic music as Les Sins, collaborating with The Mattson 2 or dropping hip-hop-based mixtapes. This week, he’s returning to his beloved solo Toro Y Moi moniker for his new album, Boo Boo. Available to stream today ahead of tomorrow’s official release, the follow-up to 2015’s What For? is made up of 12 tracks from the musician, with a short film that follows a drive around the Bay Area.
“The artists that were influencing what I was making included everyone from Travis Scott to Daft Punk, Frank Ocean to Oneohtrix Point Never, Kashif and Gigi Masin,” Toro says. “I recognized that the common thread between these artists was their attention to a feeling of space, or lack thereof. I decided that I wanted to make a Pop record with these ideas in mind.”
