Last week, Joey Bada$$ had some interesting words on his “Ready” single, referring Troy Ave’s Major Without A Deal sales. While the two exchanged social media shots on independent success, we guess the words from the Flatbush rapper might have gotten under his skin.
Above, the Crown Heights rapper drops an official diss track aimed at the badmon entitled “Bad Ass,” where he questions the authenticity of Joey having relevancy when he’s in the streets. Whether or not the rest of the Pro-Era camp decides to respond to this cut above remains to be seen; but we have to admit, this is one of the strangest rifts in music we can remember in quite some time.
NO single, NO party hosting's NO real endorsements Reminder: NObody cares + u WORK for Sony Red / Cinematic Records #FakeIndependent

UPDATE: Troy Ave called in to Sway In The Morning to address the beef and how it trickled into a whole diss song. He also talked about the Capital STEEZ line and says he only deals with facts and there’s no rules in beef or reaction, blaming Joey Bada$$ for bringing friends into the mix when he said “Kirk Knight sold more than Troy Ave” in “Ready.”
