Helping MTV with their “Video Music Awards 2013” campaign, local resident of The Borough Troy Ave sat down to discuss the rules of being a BK emcee. Ave opens up about his history in the city being born over east in Brownsville but growing up in Crown Heights which was the melting pot of the borough being multicultural.
He then went on list as Biggie, Jigga and Loso as his influences growing up and listed out the rules to being a real Brooklyn emcee with street cred being the obvious main factor. You can watch the interview after the jump, which Ave also speaks on being shocked to see the awards in arguably the most notorious borough in the city.
