Still independent and not looking to sign a contract until the paper is right, Troy Ave spoke with REVOLT about his recently released new album, Major Without A Deal. The Brooklyn rapper took a drive through the borough with P. Diddy’s network to open up on recording with fellow city natives and legends Cam’ron and 50 Cent.
Ave talked hitting Flea up randomly and hitting uptown for a studio session to record the opening album track “Quarter Million.” The conversation continued to Troy discussing running into 50 Cent at a Chris Brown concert last spring, which the two would end any negative and fake tension – leading to the two recording a single for “Bang Bang.” Watch more from the interview above and be sure to support the project on iTunes right now.
