Troy Ave was the next artist featured on BET’s “What’s Next” as he talks about his history with his popular Harry Powder mixtape trilogy which he transitioned into releasing “White Christmas” over the holidays. Ave touched on meeting Pusha T and how they instantly developed a relationship with Troy being a fan of the Clipse.
Pusha was shocked by Ave’s approach to him and felt it was necessary for a collaboration on his recently released “Wrath of Caine” mixtape. In closing, Troy discusses his upcoming EP “New York City” which he expects to drop after the label situation is concluded. With the EP 80% done, he said for us look out for a track with Prodigy, Raekwon and Norega spitting some bars with him only on the hook as a fan of all three.
