Vince Staples Talks Upcoming EP & Perception on Culture

“I’m about making songs, I’m not trying to prove to anybody I can rap”

Later this week Vince Staples will be releasing his major debut EP, Hell Can Wait on iTunes. Coincidentally, that happens to be the same day he kicks off the official Hell Can Wait Tour, which is set to last throughout November.

Before fans witness his fall takeover in a few days, the Long Beach representative opens up on what to expect for his new project including how “Blue Suede” might’ve been taken the wrong way from some in the Gang community and “Hands Up.” He also goes into detail about Mac Miller naming him his favorite rapper and meeting him Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future. The Cutthroat Boy also discusses ways of improving urban communities and briefly gives his perspective on the riots in Ferguson following the Michael Brown murder and more.

Be sure to support Vince Staples’ Hell Can Wait EP in stores and iTunes on Tuesday.
