Over the past few years, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has made an increasingly-known name for himself and the band through their acclaimed self-titled album, and not to mention the affiliation with Kanye West. But fame isn’t something that the musician is accustomed to, and feels that the attention is taking away the true essence of the sound and idea of the collective. In attempt of taking a short hiatus, Vernon has returned to Volcano Choir in order to craft their sophomore album Repave, with their brand new single “Comrade” now available. The highly anticipated 8-track album can be pre-ordered on iTunes now ahead of its release on September 3rd via Jagjaguwar.
