The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights” Becomes First Song Ever to Spend A Year in Billboard Top 10

It comes a shock that no other song in recent times has done this, but it looks like The Weeknd has set a new Billboard record. Following his controversy at The GRAMMYS (being snubbed) and performing at Super Bowl, it looks like the Canadian crooner has made history by becoming the first artist to have a song in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 for a year straight.

“Blinding Lights” has now been at the top of the charts for a total of 52 weeks.

The previous artist to have done this is Post Malone with “Circles,” which stayed in the Top 10 for a total of 39 weeks before falling off.
