Remember all the social commentary on The Chronic following the L.A. Riots? It would be a miracle from the Hip-Hop gods to hear that type of material on DETOX, right?.
This Jay-Z song definitely resonated back in 2006, but to hear a couple songs like these in today’s climate would be a breath of fresh air. Especially if it was as aggressive as “Straight Out Of Compton.”
