The haunting melody of “Stay Wide Awake” would make this a sure shot on DETOX. Unfortunately, Eminem would have to go back to the drawing board and switch up all his verses, except for the hook. This track might have been cool for Relapse, but in Dr. Dre “final opus” context, we have to agree with Shady on the second verse of “Not Afraid.”
