We’ve been watching comments about Eminem’s “Rap God” (truthfully, even before that, when “Berzerk” surfaced) and there seem to be some very vocal difference of opinions around the interwebs, concerning Slim Shady’s new material.
For one, you have the die hard fanboys. The one’s who can see nothing wrong with anything Marshall Mathers does. He can drop “Rain Man” as a single and they would buy it five times over. The real Stans. They seem to be in love with “Rap God” and think Eminem is rapping his rappity rap ass off. Flowing circles above every other artist out.
Then you have the long-time Eminem fans who have probably been down since his first album, those who place him in their personal Top 5, and aren’t quite satisfied with what he’s been dropping lately. This might even date back to Relapse. This fan is not impressed by “Rap God” and probably thinks Eminem is already on the decline. They probably go back to the old Slim albums and wonder what happened. They listen to the new shit and try to like it, but they just can’t accept half-sober Eminem.
Last but not least, you have the Eminem haters who have always hated on everything he’s done. You know, the ones who think it’s blasphemy to put him in a Top 10. They might like a few songs from his catalog, but for the most part, he’s always been trash.

No matter which category you fit in or how you feel about Eminem’s new material, we wanted to ask our readers a simple question. What was the last Eminem album you bought? Whether physically out at the store or online through iTunes.
We’re interested to hear how far back people stopped supporting him, or if they even stopped at all. After reading some of our comments on his latest release, all we saw were mixed reactions, but at the end of the day, the support truly shows when you buy albums. For those of you who heard “Rap God,” are you leaning towards buying the album?
