What’s Your Favorite Track From Wale’s “The Gifted” Album?

Having arguably one of the better albums of the year when he dropped Ambition in 2011, Wale knew he had to follow-up his sophomore album with nothing less than what he did with The GiftedQuietly kept, one of the most misunderstood rappers in the game dropped yet another surprising album.

With his single “Bad” demolishing radio charts and Twitter updates, Folarin made it quite easy for himself to resurface before his June 25th release. While still not getting the respect a lyricist such as himself might deserve, a chip on his shoulder during the course of his album promotion is just what the DC native needed. “LoveHate Thing” entertains commentary regarding hometown love, while his self-produced “Simple Man” dissects the DC native’s mind. We fully expect to hear the Juicy J and Nicki Minaj assisted “Clappers” in a club near you soon and “Rotation” featuring 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa will be your smoking anthem with hints of world domination spread around the record.

Letting his lyricism speak for his dynamics as an emcee with the Just Blaze produced “88“, “Black Heroes” to close out the album, and the one and only Jerry Seinfeld hinting at their upcoming Album About Nothing, Folarin made his statement. While it’s still a very hot summer for album releases, few will standout, but we believe this will be one of them.
