Will Smith talks to Zane Lowe on Beats 1!
If you thought Will Smith’s remix for “Fiesta” last week was just a random release, the legendary rapper-actor is planning a comeback next year. It’s been over a decade since we’ve heard a full-length project from the Philadelphia native, but he was recent guest on Apple’s Beats 1 with Zane Lowe to discuss his return to music. At the present, he has 30 newly recorded songs (a few of which we’re assuming are with Kanye West), and has about six or seven that he feels are ready to receive a green light. While teasing a future album next year, he also hinted that he’ll be going on a world tour next summer with long-time friend and music partner, DJ Jazzy Jeff.
