Wu-Tang Clan Reveals What Happened To “Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)” with Drake

We may sadly never hear the ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ Remix

Last week, The Wu-Tang announced their official return, inking a major deal with Warner Bros. Records as well as setting a proper release date for their 20th anniversary album, A Better Tomorrow. While fans will have a chance to hear some fresh Wu music on December 2nd when the project arrives, the Shaolin collective opened up on what exactly happened to the infamous Wu-Tang Forever (Remix).”

During a recently rare photo shoot, MTV News caught up with group members RZA, Ghostface and U-God, who revealed their lyrics were too hardcore for the track. Drizzy initially wanted Rae and Ghostface to initially go in with the track, but unfortunately they didn’t make a deadline where the track needed to be submitted.

A music video to the track with Drake was shot in uptown last winter (rumored with A$AP Rocky), so many were under the impression the entire year that it was still arriving. Although the Wu-Tang Clan still respected Drizzy’s attempt to create something epic, we’re still hopeful the original version surfaces in the future.

“What the hell was I rhyming about, I was writing some hardcore stuff. He wanted us to talk about some bitches . . . I mean women” – U God
