It’s no secret that Microsoft’s primary focus is to become your number one source of entertainment for your living room, especially with the announcement last year of Xbox Entertainment Studios. Along with Steven Spielberg’s upcoming live-action series HALO, the Microsoft Studios Los Angeles team is set to create a new series themed on the early life and career of Nas with the upcoming series Street Dreams.
The 30-minute episode series will be centered on the Queensbridge rapper’s early experiences of the 90s and is being written + directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies). This news comes fresh off the heels of Illmatic XX anniversary edition album coming out April, as well as the Time Is Illmatic documentary. Stay tuned for more news regarding the upcoming Escobar TV series exclusively set for the Xbox One.
