A few weeks ago, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) hit the stage at The Shrine in Chicago and performed a new song titled “The Light Is Not Afraid of The Dark.” The Kanye West-produced record, sent a shockwave through Hip-Hop fans because the thought of a Mos and ‘Ye collab in 2013 is far fetched (but not impossible), at this point. Unfortunately, it turns out that the track is a bit dated and a leftover from his True Magic sessions.
It’s Mos Def and Kanye West, though. You can’t hate on that.
Let this serve as bonus track to hold you over until that OMFGOD collaborative album with Mannie Fresh comes into full fruition, later this year.
