The bompton rapper continues his 2014 run with another album
Last March, rapper YG finally touched the international scene with the release of his long-awaited major debut album, My Krazy Life. While the project went to achieve critical success with the help of DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla $ign and Uncle Jeezy, the Bompton rapper quickly became a mainstream stay for the duration of the year, as one of the newer artist attracting listeners from the ladies to the homies.
Speaking of which, YG has officially announced his second project of the year, entitled Blame It On The Streets. Much like Jay-Z’s classic Streets Is Watching release nearly 20 years ago, the Los Angeles rapper will inviting fans to the West Side of things in his neighborhood of the B.P.T. for his first ever film-and-soundtrack offering.
The 30-minute short film is expected to have special screenings in NYC, LA and Atlanta this holiday – serving as a simple day in YG’s krazy life. The 9-track soundtrack releasing with the film on December 15th, sees contributions from DJ Mustard, DJ Quik, Jay 305, Nipsey Hussle and Mack 10 among many others.
