North Memphis rapper, Yo Gotti is nearing the release of his long-awaited sixth studio album I Am. The project will serve as 2nd big major label release, which he’s brought his CMG imprint over to Epic Records in conjunctions with L.A. Reid. Leading up to the project, he stopped by Forbes for an exclusive interview to talk about building up the project through the streets and web(s) to get some mainstream approval highlighted by his “Act Right” single with Jeezy and YG.
Throughout the interview, he breaks down learning the business side of things with former situations to feeling comfortable now with his own brand and being influenced by Birdman and Slim as mentors.
