Yo Gotti Got A Lot of Street Knowledge From His Mother

We’ve been jamming Yo Gotti‘s The Art of Hustle album hard since it came out and for good reason. It’s got some certified bangers on there. While we prefer banging “Bank Teller” or “Law” with E-40 at loud volumes, one of the more introspective records on the effort is track 9, “Momma.” On his dedication to his mother, he talks about some of the real shit he experienced growing up.

During this talk with GENIUS, Gotti breaks down some of the lyrics and the stories that inspired the bars, including a time the feds busted into his crib as a child and gifting his mom with a restaurant for Mother’s Day so she could have something to get her money right.

Peep game from the Memphis rapper in his interview up top.
