Only a few weeks removed from the major release of Herstory, Young M.A made stop by Hot 97 to open up on how she’s adjusting to creativity, after landing a hit-single last year. The Brooklyn-based rapper touched on her busy schedule in the limelight, which has hindered her creative freedom zone for new music. Ironically, she has multiple records in the stash and cited that the recent EP wasn’t a personal body of work just yet – which will be the theme of her official debut album.
Things transitioned from Beyoncé inviting her to open up on The Formation World Tour last year, which was her first ever performance outside of a night club. M.A touched on unfortunately not meeting the Queen; but cited that she shared a few moments with JAY Z behind-the-scenes, where the King even cracked a rare smile in their Instagram photo. Before things concluded, Young went to break down why she turned down a lead role in the hit-series on FOX, Empire.
