The voice of the streets, Young Scooter was next up for the “ThisIs50” interview series to discuss his recent success. Scooter’s been one of the breakout rap artist for 2013 with his hit single “Columbia” buzzing in them streets for the last 2 months which he calls it making “Count Music” for the trappers out there.
Although he’s 1017 and FreeBandz affiliated, Young Scooter discusses his new company Black Migo gang which he has plans to release a project under the label this Summer. Jack asks how Scooter began taking in game during the mid-00’s being around Maceo (Nextel Chirp) and Future who’s been in the dungeon for years trying to make it big like we saw last year; which Scooter decided to take rap serious just two years ago.
The two then jump into musical influences citing Dipset and the old Ca$h Money Millionaires which he closes out speaking on features for the “Jugg House” album. Scooter who’s a street artist enlisted some street cats for his album from the likes of Lloyd Banks, Rozay, Birdman, Gucci, Future and Webbie. Look out for “Jugg House” to hit streets this July 2nd via Black Migo Gang records.
