Tha Barter VI? Thug Talks Name Change
With the Lil Wayne and Birdman legal feud reaching peak levels this month from Tunechi calling out his favorite boss, Young Thug has become an innocent bystander. Less than week removed from his official mixtape release date for Tha Carter VI, Young Thug has to change his project to avoid legal issues on his end.
Lil Wayne, who hasn’t even dropped his long-awaited Tha Carter V took offense to the ATL rapper and voiced his opinion on stage to let it be known he didn’t approve of any homage paying from Thugga. Young was taken aback by a surprise and released an Instagram response last Friday saying he wouldn’t disrespect one of his idols.
This didn’t last for long, until he was served and announced moments ago of an official mixtape change to Tha Barter VI. Whether the April 17th release for the newly announced Tha Barter VI holds up for this Friday remains to be seen, we’ll be monitoring the situation to keep you updated on what happens next.
