It’s been a mighty fine while since we’ve heard from ZZ Ward. It’s a surprise weekend, though. The singer is going to “The Deep” end with her newest single and it features an unexpected appearance from Chicago’s Joey Purp. These two are definitely not two we’d think of on a collaboration, but the record works. From the soulfulness of ZZ singing about a relationship that wasn’t good to her to the real rap from Purp, we’re going to add this one to the playlist. Could we expect a new project from Mrs. Ward soon?
