Will Tom Thibodeau evolve the Wolves into a legit threat?
Many will arguably call Tom Thibodeau the second-best coach in the NBA, which we do believe him to be. Last off-season, he turned to the Minnesota Timberwolves from a lottery team, to a possible threat that can go head-to-head with elite teams out west.
While they’re a year or two from being championship contenders, due to needed chemistry development; the T-Wolves have most of the elements to be successful. During the summer, the team acquired Jimmy Butler, Jeff Teague and Taj Gibston – bringing some veteran presence to young stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. This could possibly be one of the best defensive units in the NBA, but our main concern is ball distribution at the point guard position.
We’re not worried at anybody trying to find a shot or being able to score in an iso, but one person will be needed to run the offense and get people open when it’s needed. Their success could come down to Jeff Teague’s point-guard play when they come across a higher-tier team out west.
